Preconditions
Tools / Equipment
The following equipment will be required:
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Steel toe boots/shoes
- Gloves
- Hearing protection (if needed)
The following tools and supplies may be required:
- Tape (Masking, Duct, Impact Resistant Tape)
- Reinforced or unreinforced Visqueen
- Plywood, rubber, tin, stove pipe sections
- Tarps/ Drop cloths
- Plugs or inflatable “pigs”
- Pre ordered caps, plugs or coverings
- Pre cut impact resistant masking material
- Bailing wire and wire cutters
- Utility Knife, Scraper, Tin Snips
- Pinch clamps / C-clamps
Requirements
Requirements for this guideline include:
- Qualified Mandros Painting personnel
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Notification of all parties involved.
Hazards
The following hazards may be present:
- Pinch Points
- Cuts
- Slips, trips, and falls
- Environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.)
- Site specific hazards (these should be identified during JSA)
